We have a new edition to the food hub’s landscape – Rusty the Rooster. Rusty is Bull City Cool’s guardian of the northwest, while local artist Tom Dawson’s bull guards the southeast corner… with a pitchfork. (Rusty, you’re going to have to step up your game!)
Our urban-agriculture statues may not be as majestic as the more traditional lion or eagle sculptures that often flank driveways, but they are appropriate for a food hub that’s bringing the farm to the city.
You might ask, “Why a rooster?” when it’s veggies we’re hauling in. I pose this question to you – can you see carrots guarding our gates? I didn’t think so…
