Just over a year ago we introduced you to 902 N Mangum St, and it wasn’t a pretty sight. Today we re-introduce you – this time to the new Bull City Cool Food Hub. And what a transformation!
It was oversized and outdated, its excessively blocky structure resembling something you might find in the popular Minecraft video game. It was painted mud puddle brown and was an eyesore on the best of days.
After extensive renovations this historic building has regained its 1950’s charm and has passersby turning their heads to get a better look. Now painted historic “Classic White Buff” and accented with a fresh veggie green, it’s a beauty to behold.
But the aesthetic design of the building isn’t the only thing that’s been a success. We have officially passed all inspections and received our Certificate of Occupancy, which means we’re ready for the move-in of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and Farmer FoodShare. These two nonprofits will be headquartering their Durham operations from Bull City Cool.

On behalf of the team that made it possible, thanks! As you know, it’s a hard won piece of paper…
