On January 18th, Bull City Cool played host to a Wholesale Success workshop for 35 farmers from across the state. From Caswell County to our northwest, to Beaufort County to the southeast, and everything in between!
We had farmers young and old. Some new to the industry and some, old hands. We even had hydroponics farmers. But the one thing they all had in common was one question — “Is wholesale right for me?”
And this is what they heard… or some of it 😉 :
- Find what makes you unique and sell it!
- Sell to a variety of markets
- You’ll need labor to harvest those extra crops
Two days later, 24 farmers heard the same message in Richmond County at a second workshop. The Sandhills AGInnovation Center, an emerging food hub, hosted this sister event in collaboration with Bull City Cool.

This event was a partnership among Bull City Cool, FamilyFarmed, Farmer Foodshare, The Center for Environmental Farming Systems, and the USDA.
