Everyone hates an office without windows. You’ve been there… The last one to know the sky’s opened up, or to find out that a tornado is barreling down the street. (Though in the case of the tornado, I guess the office without windows benefits you…)
Well, we’re in the majority with people who like to see the sky from their office. Which is why we’ve rescued the inner-most space in the food hub from windowless doom.
The odd trapezoidal space we’ve designated for an office is at the heart of the building and seriously landlocked. It’s bordered by the new conference room on one side, the warehouse on two sides, and an exterior wall on the fourth side.
While the space has two doors, the window shown here is new. A “plywood medley covered by a tarp” in its former life, it’s been restored to transparent-hood by Clear-Vue Glass of Durham and will allow the office to benefit from natural light that comes into the warehouse.
Also fortunate for the plight of the light, the conference room doorway will, too, allow overspill of natural light.
