Annfer Used Tires has moved to its new location on North Roxboro Road, just north of Club Boulevard. Bull City Cool spent the past few months exploring business relocation and purchase options with the owner.
As a result of our efforts, Annfer Used Tires is now closer to its customer base and co-located with like businesses. The owner purchased another successful auto parts business and is leasing the new space.
While the process delayed construction of the proposed community food hub at 902 N Mangum St, for Bull City Cool it was worth the wait to avoid displacing a successful small business.
Reinvestment Partners’ and Bull City Cool’s neighborhood revitalization efforts purposefully avoid gentrification, or ousting current residents in favor of wealthier ones as property values rise. And they are rising in light of said efforts, particularly in the past few years.
Today we look forward to proceeding with construction of the food hub. We will be adding a new layer to 902 N Mangum’s colorful history, as well as revealing some of the more attractive layers from its past.
