Everyone loves a good “Before and After” picture, and I think this one qualifies. (Though it can’t compare to a good celebrity before-and-after… which are my favorites.)
What you see here are before-and-after lead abatement pictures of the building’s North Mangum Street-facing section.
Built prior to 1978, the building had to go through required lead-based paint remediation when we began interior demolition. (Lead-based paint chips and dust are harmful to both adults and children. Learn more here.)
As you can see, we opted for the popular postmodern look of mottled paint and brick rather than complete paint removal.
This involved sealing the building, sanding loose paint from the walls and ceiling, and applying an encapsulant to seal the remaining paint and prevent the future release of chips or dust.
Encapsulant applied, this lead remediation is finito and we’re very happy with the results.

Can you tell us more about this? I’d care to find out some additional information.

Hello there, I do think your web site could be having web browser compatibility issues. Whenever I take a look at your site in Safari, it looks fine however, when opening in IE, it’s got some overlapping issues. I simply wanted to give you a quick heads up!
Other than that, wonderful blog!
