First impressions may not always be right, but they are important. This in mind, we revamped the food hub’s storefront to make a good first impression.
The half-window, half- plaster storefront of yesteryear had to be demo-ed. We’re not sad to say the plaster-stuffed transom windows are no more.
After completely rebuilding the entrance to the building, Binswanger Glass of Durham outfitted the food hub with a great-looking glass storefront. It’s the kind of glass that is so polished you imagine it coming with it’s own permanent sparkle and on-demand “ding!” sound effect.
This former Gulf station storefront will soon be the wall that makes the food hub conference room an official fishbowl. People using the room will be able to enjoy the view of this East Durham neighborhood in transition.
