The Bathroom - Being All It Can Be (Part II)

Reinvestment Partners and the LGBTQ Center of Durham hosted an event at Bull City Cool on Wednesday, titled “Everyone is Welcome (to use our bathroom!).” (Read all about our bathroom’s sordid history HERE). It was a community event to protest HB2 and foster solidarity and inclusion. And it was a success on all fronts.

But not a “sparklers, cheerleaders, and back slapping” kind of success. It was the accomplishment of community-building, of fostering understanding, and of resolved change.
