The food hub was bustling last Wednesday, as over twenty people gathered for the Partnership for a Healthy Durham’s Obesity and Chronic Illness Committee to discuss health-focused initiatives in Durham. This group is a part of a broader group called Healthy Carolinians, which is a state-wide network of partnerships that address health and safety issues at the community level.
Bull City Cool hosted the committee in our warehouse, where our Food Hub Coordinator, Neal Curran, took the opportunity to highlight the work that we (and founder Reinvestment Partners) are doing to improve access to healthy local food.
We’re happy to be a part of such a dynamic group and contribute to the great work being done in the Durham community!

The community hub really helps get local farm fresh supply to consumers nicely! Also, local businesses can grow themselves.
