On September 22nd, Bull City Cool hosted the first of Durham County Soil & Water‘s series of urban agriculture and conservation training workshops, which focused on food safety. CFSA (Carolina Farm Stewardship Association) and CEFS (Center for Environmental Farming Systems) provided technical assistance to attendees on writing and implementing food safety plans on small farms, many of which are looking to sell to institutions that require a food safety certificate.
Less than a month later on October 20th, we hosted the second workshop in the series: Rain Water Harvesting & Conservation Irrigation.
